Project Details

Mercedes in collaboration with Binghatti Architects, two world renowned brands, approached Arqui9 with the idea of creating a promotional advertisement video for their ambitious 'Mercedes Places' project.

The end goal was to utilize this promotional video for the live unveiling of the design at the prestigious at the Dubai Race Course, as well as to continue its use on their websites and other social media platforms.

The story

Our vision was to craft a narrative that captivates and resonates deeply with the audience, stirring emotions, igniting dreams, and echoing the vibrancy of their inner youth.

We aimed to blend the realms of automotive excellence, high fashion, hyper luxury living, and cinematic flair to create a fresh blend of styles within the luxury market, setting new benchmarks for innovation and allure.

The concept

The video focuses on our main character, Zahra, and bringing her childhood dreams to reality. Through her eyes, we see her hopes and aspirations come true, from her distant memories to the present moment, driving her forward.

Her biggest dream - to live in the sky, amongst the clouds, close to the stars…

our approach

The feeling of the video is important to convey the story and message. We’ve put an emphasis on primary tones of colour : White, blue, Red, black, etc.

The dream sequences have a colourful and abstract feel, while the shots of the tower and interior spaces are bright, pure, and alive.

Everything is of importance, from the tempo, to the music, to the edit. We wanted to capture a very contemporary feel that evolves symbolically through the film in accordance to the spaces shown.

Have a peak behind the curtains

Besides our usual process of creating CGIs, this project needed live-action shooting, which we organised in Porto, Portugal. Many Production teams were involved to help us capture what we envisioned, from DoP, to talent, to make-up artists and fashion designers, and many more.
